BAI Sets Up Online Application of Local Shipping Permits Featured

In response to the order of President Rodrigo R. Duterte to speed up the government services, the Bureau of Animal Industry developed system to simplify the application of local shipping permit. The agency tagged the process as “PROBILIS”- Programang Bilisan angLigtas na Shipment

Ms. Marites C. Gealone, Head of the Management Information System (MIS), demonstrated the process of online application of local shipping permit to the members of the Accredited Swine Breeders Association of the Philippines (ASBAP) during its regular meeting on August 24, 2018 held at the Conference Room of BAI in Diliman, Quezon City.


Dr. Romulo Parayao, President of ASBAF together with Ms. Marites C. Gealone holds a sample print out of local shipping permit after the online application.

Using this system, the applicants of local shipping permits will be spared from the inconvenience of going to the nearest Animal Quarantine office. Instead, they can apply for their permits online, view the status and have themprinted once approved.

BAI will launch the online service after the pilot testing with stakeholders. ###(Caroline Ann D. Rodero)
